What hybrid is this datdog?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

It was sold under the name of Tricyrtis hirta 'Miyazaki'- but I'm not so sure if it is.

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

What reason do you have to doubt?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

The flower on my plant is much darker then the photos I've seen of 'Miyazaki'.

I just bought a miyazaki, it was the last one at a sale with no Id tag, the only reason I know what it is, I went there a couple of days before making a list and liked it so much I paid alot of attention to the stems, seeds and flowers so Iwould recognize it justin case. glad I did. I got it for under $4. I hadnt seen it anywhere else around here. Im going to plant it today after my 4yo goes to school. I cant wait for spring! So many new plants to see come up.

I have this Toad lily and it looks like that. I believe it is ID correctly. I think Toad lilies are a very under appreciated plant. I like them a lot. I get color in the fall when all else is going dormant. Here is another nice toad lily, it's variegated.

I've tryed growing Toad lilies with no luck perhaps I'm trying to grow them in to dry of an area. I've got them in the back of my yard where it's pretty much dry shade. I thought they were woodland plants and would survive that type of earth!!! Where do you plant yours so successfully?

Flowerpot- Mine do not like dry shade. My actually do better in more sun then shade. I try to plant mine where they will get a good half day of sun.

datdog; sorry for not getting right back to you, I was away for a few days. Okay I'll try and put them in a sunny spot and not so dry, my back yard is in the east so they should be alright if I move them out into more sun. What dose grow (besides weeds) in dry shade????????
