Good herb combinations?

Madison, WI(Zone 5a)

What are some good combinations of herbs to plant in one pot together? I've got all kinds of herbs, and I was just trying to consolidate them into good groupings because I have only a limited amount of space in my container garden. Thanks for your help!

Are you talking about culinary or medicinal herbs?

Culinary and tea herbs. Thanks again for any help.

Most herbs of that nature are non-antagonistic. So your choices should be based on what is aesthetically pleasing to you.

You might, for instance, put Camomille in the center, surrounded by creeping thyme. The thyme will fill in the surface, and hang down over the edge of the container, while the Camomille's daisy-like flowers form central interest.

Or choose types of various heights whose foliage forms a nice effect. Sage and basil, for instance.

The only limit on this is your imagination.
