Wow Terry, looks like you have a bunch of seeds there. Hope the snow has stopped up your way. At least what is pilled around the edge of the greenhouse should make some good insulation for you.

Great photo Terry. Way to go! Best of luck with them.

Sounds like a great cross indeed Terry! Are you going to be crossing this one back to both parents, siblings, or are you perhaps even thinking of crossing this one back to Rothkirch if you should happen to get some pollen from that one? I would think that if you were leaning more towards the Ecuador pink side you might even consider using some other crosses that were created from Ecuador pink. I know, I talk to much, but this cross of yours is going to be special no matter which way you slice it. Congrats on this cross Terry.

Thanks everyone.
Eric, I'm definitely going to cross them back to both parents. The ideal cross would be to cross them to Rothkirch if I'm lucky enough to get some pollen.I think the EP produces lots of whites if I remember right and my goal is to get a darker pink so I need to cross it with something that has pink genes. Yep, darker pink and double pink is what I'm trying to produce.A few days ago I planted some c. Dbl. White x Butterfly seeds. Dreaming here.LOL
Edited to say it's so good to see you here again. We miss you! :)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This year will be so exciting watching everyones babies growing. With all the great crosses that were done there should be some very special ones.

For the seeds Arlene? I just slit the pod and opened it up. The two sections came right out. The pod was turning soft and yellow. I planted a few tonight and am working on a pkg for BGI.

Snowhermit,
You've undoubtedly thought of this already, but you could cross back to L'amour if you wanted a darker pink as well...or any of the other R progeny. The double white x Butterfly seeds sound great to me. The double white your using...do the seedpods have a bit of a velvety nature to them. If so, I don't know which one it is as I've only recently gotten interested in the doubles, but I did make a few crosses to that particular one myself. Much luck to you.
Arlene, good to hear to see you again. I must confess I am always wondering what you have flowering in those beds of yours.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I got two more ripe pods today myself. Spring Peach x Apricot Queen and Pink Beauty x L'amour

hoping for something nice. arlene, I'll be including some of these for the seed bank.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Eric, several of us are waiting for a L'Amour. I will also cross these to Pink Beauty which I do have.
The c. Dbl White seed pods are smooth and shiney.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

tiG, those sound like great crosses. I've already written to Arlene to let her know I want on the list for seeds. Will have to find out how I go about it now.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

arlene, if you read this, please send me the list again, I can't open that file again. sorry
