Wally on the beach

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Wally had never been to a beach before(Fla doesn't allow dogs on the beaches) so this year we took him to Texas. We don't board him because he won't eat, so he goes with us everywhere. He loves to chase things when the wind blows. At home he spends all day chasing little pieces of grass or leaves that move. In Texas, the wind blows pretty much all the time on the coast. He had a great time!! We drove on the beach for about 25 miles. This end of the island is a wildlife sanctuary and is undeveloped. Miles and miles of dunes that run between the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre, with a few tidal flats in between.
Poor Wally discovered that sand is NOT good to eat and while chasing little bits of sea grass that blew around he got sand everywhere. We took a brush with us to clean him up so he could get back in the truck.
PS, I'll have to tell you the story about the laguna later.
