I had the cuttings started in a garden window - heating pad - grow lights - they all had "tree" mendous growth - called out of town for 4 days - daughter let them go dry - all leaves dropped. Re started the watering rountine but still no signs of life it has been two weeks. Am I reduced to begging for more cuttings???
are they gonners?
As long as the stems are still firm, just keep the soil slightly moist until new leaves develop. Without leaves, you can rot the roots as they wont use up the moisture.
Patience and they should sprout new foliage soon.
I left out a big part of this puzzle - the cuttings were sitting in glasses of water and she let them go dry!! Am I still going to get any new foliage with them back in the water now??
I have some in water that went dry and they kept going after I put more in. It depends on the cultivar, some can take it better than others
