Desfontainia spinosa?

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

Does anyone know of this plant? I wonder if it could be hybridised with Brugmansia, it looks like it is worth trying.

Dennis,
do you have a picture?
Last summer I´ve seen some strange plants in some european nurseries. Sometimes I wondered if it has been a crossing with brugmansias.

The Desfontainea is in the Family Loganiaceae, unrelated to the Solanaceae Family to which the Brugmansia and Datura belong. A hybrid between Desfontainea and Brugmansia would be most unlikely. A very attractive plant, however, with nice gloosy evergreen leaves; thanks for sharing the link! John

Sorry! I was going through a book with mostly Solanaceous plants and just assumed it must be. DARN.
Crossing genera is rare, but crossing families isn't worth trying!!!
Thanks for noticing that, and WL yup that's it, cool eh?
