Common Camellia, Japanese Camellia 'Mixed Hybrids, Noids' (Camellia japonica)

Singapore, Singapore

Hi Ulrich, these camellias are so beautiful. How long have u planted these? and how did u grow them? not from seeds I guess?

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

Sorry, Lynn, don't know. I just happened upon it somewhere when on a walk in the neighbourhood. Here in California we have many beautiful blooms even in the Winter, so I usually carry a camera with me.
Happy New Year. (Yours is long past, ours still two hours away).

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Never seen that dark red Camellia, looks great.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Lynn, Camellias are usually bought at nurseries. They only survive in the southern climes and bloom in the winter. However, I have heard that there are new hardier varieties..

Thanks woodspirit, for the info.
