Brugs from seed

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Please forgive me but I don't visit this forum very often, so if I ask a question that you have talked about please bear with me. How difficult is it to start brugs and daturas from seed? I sure see them featured a lot in all those various seed catalogs I am getting. How long will they take to bloom from germination? Any special tricks?Where do you all get your seed? I have had luck with cuttings but of course they are not hardy here. I had 7 or 8 great new plants going in my cool greenhouse last fall and we had an unexpected low temp one night and I lost them all.:(

lenjo.... its not hard to start seeds... the brugmansia seeds have a outer cork like shell you should soak them for about 24 hours in room temp water you can plant them then or remove the outer cork... it looks like a little bean inside sometimes it takes a mounth or better to germanate. Datura seeds I just plant and they grow be sure if you order from a catologe that what they are calling brugmansia or angle trumpits are sometimes they call darura's the same

Lenjo - I still have some of the White Suave x Insig Pink seeds left. The babies will most likely be white. If you want to try a pack I'd be happy to share.
