DD gave me the best gizmo for Christmas, A wireless remote thermometer. :))
You are able to have 3 remote devises attached to it from different locations, each one up to 100 feet away from the main monitor, with no obstructions between the remote and main monitor. It gives readings of Max. and Min. and current temps of all the remote devises and main monitor, a freeze alarm (audio and visual) on the 1st remote devise, and C and F temps. can be checked on all devises.

For the Canadians, mine came from Home Hardware and is similar to the ones pictured on page 167 item I in their catalogue.

Wow thanks for the tip. I was worried about heat being off and not knowing as the extension cord has its own breaker and I would not know if it trips and goes off.
