This butterfly was out along our drive today. Looks like it is just out of its chrysalis.

The wings look dry to me. It probably hatched recently and didn't hang upside down to properly dry the wings. It may have also been exposed to some sort of pesticide or insecticide causing the wings to deform. It's so sad when that happens. They become food for some other critter.
