I thought none of my crosses to doubles had "taken".Today I found three small pods.Species x Kyle's Pink,Knightii x Butterfly and Tiara x PB.I have high hopes for some of these.

Tell me again please - are they ripe when the calyx turns brown?? I have a few like this, but I was afraid to openthem yet - some are still samll.
It's when the peduncle (stem)yellows and the pod softens at the end.
That is great. I hope you get some outstanding seedlings from them.

Great news JT....with all these new crosses one of us should come up with a nice double.

Good luck with your crosses. Tiara and Creamcicle have been good at receiving the pollen. Hopefully, one of us will gets a double pink. The L'Amour crosses I made didn't take. Someone sent me the pollen and either it wasn't viable or I missed the time they were fertile. I did some crosses back and forth from Tiara and Creamcicle. Also, using PB and Tropical Sunset as the father. Does anyone know the parents of Tiara and Creamcicle? Also, has anyone had experience crossing two doubles? If so, what are the chances of getting another double or do the majority revert to single?

I tried to cross Golden Lady to Species but no luck....I will keep trying.
