I recently moved and just noticed the other day that my banana leaves are all turning yellow. Would anyone have any idea why?
Banana Leaves Are Turning Yellow.......
Stress, would be my first guess,I'm sure someone here will be along to help out that has more knowledge then I do on Nanas,How big is it?What type?Did it spend along time out in cold during move?Has the move forced you to put it in a different window side?(was on south, now on north),Are they all turning at same time?or dying off up from the bottom?Root.
I think I found the problem. This morning I checked the leaves, and on the underside are white cottony like balls all over them. Would you have any idea what this is?
The plant is 28" high.I used rubbing alcohol to clean them off today.
Mealybug?
Spidermites?Wheres Bugguy?
little white fuzzballs = mealybug
Thanks Troy, knew we would get someone in here to help.
yep and touching them with an alcohol dipped Qtip gets em!!
Thanks! I will keep wiping the leaves with the alcohol. I removed the yellow leaves at the bottom of the plant that were really infested, and it looks much happier today.
