Hi yvana, u grow them so well. u use any fertilizer for this? they look so fine and healthy. and all the dainty little flowers at the background. what is the mauve flowers at the right and pink at the left?

Thanks so much, Lynn. I am a Miracle Gro girl! I swear by their garden soil and I use their Fertilizer for Flowers in the summer. I am thinking about buying stock in the company. Ha! The flowers at the lower right corner are 'Robert Poore' Garden Phlox. I have a better picture of it on the Database you can see. The flowers to the left are creeping verbena, the kind with the lacy leaves. This is one of my favorite plants so far. It blooms from April to December here in Atlanta, GA. Behind that are some mini roses, which I have really enjoyed this year. Their thorns are alot softer so they are easier to take care of.
I have this lisanthus in the garage overwintering and I sure hope it makes it. So far, so good! yvana

I wonder if I can grow phlox here in tropical climate in Singapore . I saw other pictures of phlox with tulips next to it.

I just looked on the internet (hortpix.com). They say that Phlox can be grown in USDA zone 9A. I hope that helps! yvana

Lynn,
I bet that the phlox you saw in the picures with tulips is creeping phlox, which is a different plant (same family). Phlox paniculata is the phlox in the picture with the lisanthus. Phlox paniculata is the one that is hardy to USDA Zone 9A.

I have grown lisianthus, they are gorgeous, the need heat to do really well, I think, it is usually cooler here than they like. I would like to try some from seed. Very pretty,yvana.

HERE IN 10A ( DELRAY BEACH, FL) I HAVE HAD POOR LUCK GROWING LISIANTHUS. BOUGHT 8 OF THEM FROM HOME DEPOT WHICH SEEMED TO BE IN WONDERFUL CONDITION. PLANTED SOME IN FULL SUN, SOME IN PART SHADE, LEFT SOME IN ORIGINAL POTS. NONE HAVE FLUORISHED. TWO ARE STILL ALIVE BUT BARLEEY. THE GUY AT HOME DEPOT SAID HE NEVER HAD LUCK WITH THEM EITHER WHEN I WAS BACK THERE THE OTHER DAY. AND IT'S SUCH A PRETTY PLANT.
