Rainy day pod

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

It rained all day today so I spent some time out in the GH. Found this 14" ripe pod on v.Alba.

Looks like it is full, hope you get some good babies!

Fabulous Snow, better plant some of them up.

Snow,
Any idea who it is crossed with?

So who is the dad? You know - I have never had one of these long pods. What have I been doing with my time?

Way to go Snow. Do we know who's the dad? We have been having rain also. Had lighting yesterday morning driving into work and snow tonight.

I didn't have any long pods either. Would have if EP had cooperated with me. Way to go Terry.

How cool Snow!

EP is the dad. That's the only pollen I had at the time.

Congrats Snow I hope you get some real beauties from them.

Sure glad you posted this!! I'll bet I have some ripe ones too. None so long at this tho. I kept waiting for them to turn yellow! I forgot that it's just the calyx that has to be yellow or dry!. Then does the pod need to be soft too?

PJ, remember you were surprised that i was so excited my pod was ripe that i picked when you were here.... you can kind of feel them....i would highly recommend the razor blade and super glue to check your first one... you might as well go through what the rest of us have!
