No translation

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Timber Press informed me, that they find the project 'extremely' interesting, but will not be able to publish a english version.

You must learn to read german!

Monika,

We need tutorials in German. How about giving us a couple of key words every day.

That's to bad!!! Maybe another publisher would be interested.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I bought Easy Translator 3. it works under win XP too. I type in a bit of your book and translate. Some words aren't in their program, mostly words that I can understand, wildformen, things like that. It's helped a bunch. Wish we could get it in English, but at least we have it in German:)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Oh Monika don't give up. Please keep trying. Does anyone know how well the other brug book did in sales in English. If it did very well that might be enough of an incentive for a publisher if we had the facts.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well shoot. I'm sure glad now that I had Liz order your book for me. It is on it's way. Can't wait to get it. I may never get any sleep after it arrives. Ludger, look out!! I may be asking for some help. :-)

What is the name of the Book?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The name is Engelstrompeten (sounds like Angels trumpeten).
If several of you are interested in purchasing the book, I could try to mail them alltogether in one parcel to one adress to save postage. The postage for one book costs more as the selling price of € 7.95. However, I dont know, how much the postage will be in the US for a book, when forwarded.
Of course, I would help you all in translation. If you let me know, what your translation program said, I could translate it correct´and better understandable.

It is common for the publisher to watch the market, when new books are published. It could be very well, that the Preissel book didnt reach the needed amount sold in the US, to make my book attractive to other publishers.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Ludger, you're so nice.
I was hoping as everyone here was that it could be published in English as I think it would be a big seller.
I will be ordering it right after Christmas. It will be my after Christmas present. :)
Don't give up Monika. There may be another publisher that would love to publish your book.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

All people should ask her bookshops for Monikas book.( written in english). The bookshops will ask the " groceries or printers ) As more people ask for ....

May be am english " printer " will notice al this asking for and say to itsself: How to get this book in english for purchase, just a thought. ( I don´t mean the german printer BLV...I know this story...lol )

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Monika and Ludger. I know that some words do not translate when I use the translator on line. Sometimes I can't even guess what the word is.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Shirley I am doing the same way: Eagle = Adler
green = grün
Garden = Garten
I hope = Ich hoffe
I must do = I muss tun
to do = tue
to learn = lernen
Our languages are very simillar ( not always, lol ) but it is to learn.
All of you have been so patient with my " New English "
and still are going on with "being patient" . Thanks again.

Shirley, please think back: When I used a wrong word here...immediately you helped me.

I really would like to give back this very special friendship.

If all of you would have Monikas book in english language we could talk about it all, would be very good.

I never again will say "Sorry for my English"....lol...

Miss Kelly pushed me in a pm...I took my lesson...lol.

Here I am just ask me, I will try to translate Monikas´s

But not all.........lol

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

I too am interested.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Ludger and Monika, you have been so patient with our lack of the German language. I thank you. We ask so much of you both - in our language. We are blessed that you are here with us.
That said - everyone buy Monika's book - it's gorgeous. However you get it - it's worth it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Someone could slowly put together an English cheat sheet and sell it with the book. I'd pay extra for that!

Brugs are not even popular in the US yet. Wait till they get a look at the darker pinks. They will be sold all over as annuals. Then Timber Press will beg Monika for her book.

Ludger, thanks for the lesson. I am practicing.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

~It's distributed by Amazon.de - can we not flood Amazon. everwhere else? In Canada we have Amazon.ca - I'm sure it's the same in every other country. We NEED this book in English

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I am intrested in your book Monika if everyone is willing to give translation help. Anyone else here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast or surrounding areas interested???

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I will sign every book, if you wish!

Publishers think the economic way, we have to take this into consideration. If the sale of the Preissel book was restricted a little bit more as brug members here at daves, there is no chance to find a publisher in the US. Passiflora for instance is of no interest for german publishers. If I wouldnt have the first edition of my book printed and published by myself, the new book probably wouldnt exist. With the help of a large german garden magazine, which presented it with a highly recommendation,
the blv publisher signalized interest. Six month before, they didnt gave a Brugmansia book no chance at all. Now, it is already in its third edition.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Would a smaller publishing house be more likley to do it?
One that doesent have a huge overhead?

One that is in it for the love of books and education?

I'm dreaming ,huh?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

If someone takes an order ... I want one.

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

If anyone in Canada (or can we share order with the US?) is ordering, I'd like a copy. Monika if there is a way, I would be honoured if you could sign it!
I saw Brugcrazy's and the photographs are a leap above the Preissel book, and from what I hear the information is also much advanced.

Everyone who wants a book please put your order here. Monika and I are working on an order for the new year with translation possibly.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

can I get translation if I already have the book?? please?

Tig, we're still working on it but I'm sure the answer is yes.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Oh gosh, that sounds wonderful. I'd like to have the translation for my book when it gets here. Liz said it is in the mail. I'm so anixous. Thanks Jeanne and Monika.
