Heliconia needs help

Tampa, FL(Zone 9b)

My heliconias are turning yellow. We have had more then normal rain so far. I didn't think they shut down for winter here in tampa....any suggestions?

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Hi vic, here in our 9b, they do shut down for the winter, mine are all yellow and turning brown at the tips. I am thinking that they do go dormant here, just like our gingers. Which one do you have? Do you know the name of it? I'd like to start collecting them and maybe we do a trade in the spring. I have H.Tortuga.

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

My one lonely plant also looks pretty bad. I was worried but not any more!! LOL

ok, mine are the save as justmelisa discribed. The tag did not say what the name was but it has the orange flowers with a little red. I will have more then plenty to share, I have little pups springing up right now. I thought after christmas I would put them up for postage. Lisa, I will put you on my list to send. Thanks for the information!!! I feel much better now!
