Strange pod

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This pod is growing on my Shredded White. It's crossed with Butterfly and has had this extra growth on it from day one. Looks almost like another little pod growing. Wonder if it has seeds in it.

Snow,
I had one that looked like that but it fell off after a couple of weeks.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Glory, I'd have to look at my tag but this one has been on 2-3 months. The other seed pod is normal.Wonder what causes it?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Maybe it's having twins!!

Does look odd, but I'm so glad you have pods on yours.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Siamese twins? May have to operate?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Snow - you otta glue some googly eyes on it! It looks like a big nose :)

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Maybe it holds your double's in it!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I can see that all the serious answers have been provided before I saw this. It is kind of funny looking isn't it?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I think its sign that there are SPECIAL seeds in there!!!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I think its a guy pod.
Sorry ..couldn't resist (o:

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

SNORK !!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Now, why would you say that!!?

Snow,
If it's been on that long it should do fine.

Alice,
I thought the same as you but didn't have the nerve to say it. LOL

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Me, too! I'm glad that somebody else said it first.
My nice answer was that it is a christmas mitten.
My not so nice answer was that it really liked you!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

It is kind of cute looking.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Giggle! Alice I thought the same thing!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Chuckle, fun for the day.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I had a little talk with my very embarrassed pod this morning and he said to tell ya'll it's his NOSE!!
He didn't want Isabella or Becca Lynn hearing any untrue rumors about his manliness. ROFLOL

I've read extensively about this one. There are only two seeds in the offset. You'll be very happy to know there will be one rare dark blue and a double red culebra.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh, if that is the case, we better quit making fun of this one. :-)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Yes!! I knew there was something special about this little guy.
And for all those that made fun of him and caused him undue stress there will be no cuttings from the rare dark blue and dbl. red Culebra. :>)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you see I didn't make fun of it, right????

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Hehe. No tiG, you didn't. I guess you get the first rare cutting. ;)

FSH, TX

I've had seedpods with 3 chambers instead of two and they were all 3 filled with seedpods, but thats a new one on me. Definitely a sign that something special should come from that pod if you ask me.

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

Honestly, I've had bell peppers and tomatoes, both solanaceous, grow with similar deformities and it was always just the fruit flesh, never all the way into the seed chamber, but of course let it be and let us know!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hope everyone is right, and you get some really good seeds from him. Good luck!
