A question for the sang people

All fall my buds have been falling off! They are still tiny, about 3mm, they turn yellow and drop. Sometimes the small new leaves by the bud rot.
I was thinking maybe it was too humid so I put a fan in, but same thing! I used Avid and kelthane this year, and that knocked the buds off in the same way, but that was nearly 2 months ago. Is it maybe fertilizer in the fall does this? I fed 15-30-15.
The temp on the min/max says min 9'C max 12'C. I am baffled. Last year at this same time, was the best show ever, any suggestions? The only one not affected so far is Liz's 'aurora'. Liz I'm not kidding, it's quite unique.

I wish I had an answer for you Dennis - mine are mostly still outside getting beaten up by 90k winds right now.
So Aurora keeps on ticking? Good to know - mine are still outside.

LIZ! Don't let them die! LOL! Are you leaving them out this year? Even though we live 25 minutes apart, I think mine would die, I'm too far from the ocean. It's very borderline!

Dennis, I've got a bunch of brugs out still and they fine except for being beaten up by the wind.

Dennis, are your sangs virused? They shouldn't be losing their buds and leaves in this temperature. Did they get mited this year badly? That may be the problem. My sangs never seem to get any bugs and are still flowering. I find that after a few years some sangs should just be culled and grow new ones from seed.

Jeanne they don't have any virus symptoms. The leaves are quite nice. I had cyclamen mites this summer, on at least 2, that's why I sprayed, and the mites are fine, cuttings are rooting etc etc.
My biggest sang, about 5 years old is ready for the heap, but that doesn't explain the others.
My sangs never get bugs like some of the others. The fuzz helps, like for my knightii.
Maybe I don't need a fan to keep humidity in check because yours and Liz's are fine, in the rain too! I admit there are a few buds of varying sizes that are going to make it, but my greenhouse is half full of sangs and it should be wicked right now and it's awful.
Thanks

Oh that is so sad Dennis. My main sang is planted in the ground and has been flowering like crazy. Even in a bad freeze the top just gets mush and once cut, it recovers fast. Though I have not looked at it in this latest storm. My potted vulcanicola that had lots of buds, they all fell off. I was so disappointed for I really want to just see one to see what it is like. All my sangs look great but no buds except for the one that is planted in the ground. I do not dare plant another one in the ground for they really take over and grow way too fast.

Liz, when do you usually move yours in? I am going to leave all my potted sangs out and my vulcanicolas out also. I do have cuttings of them all in the hoop house. I hope I do anyway!
