AND a flower on an unknown brug. I've waited almost 2 years!! The plant set buds a few months ago then dropped them. This is the first that opened.

looks like it's going to turn peach over the next few days. was this a first day picture?? it's very pretty

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

Yes this is the first day picture. This morning it was fully peach, I'll see if I can get home in time to get a good picture of it.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

can't wait to see it!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Stacey, you must be doing a happy dance. good going on the seeds, i feel like a proud papa.... kind of.
i love the shape on your unknown brug, bet when it gets color we'll know. i'll probably wish i had taken that cutting a while ago.

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL Arlene, This was a very small seedpod...the big one is still on the plant (since mid September). When do I plant the seeds or does it matter? Some now, some later?
This is a small brug, it's still only about 3 feet tall and very 'small boned'. Come down with Dee Friday!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Stacey - did you start that one from seed? It looks like it'll be a beauty. Congrats on the seeds!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Looks like she is going to be a beauty.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Stacey, you don't want me. still have the crud, doc put me on antibiotics yesterday, running a fever. have a cough that will shake a county, and i hate to admit it, grumpy!
you guys have a good time, i know you will.
start the seeds whenever you want! i have some seeds coming, i plant them outside and let them come up when they want, but that's just how it works for me. the cold hasn't hurt the baby seedlings. no super seedlings though, a few audrey hepburn, isabella.

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh Arlene, I'm sorry you're sick! I'm going to start a bunch of seeds soon...need plenty in bloom by spring!! All the brugs seem to be thriving in the cold weather we're having. We even had a bit of frost one morning, on our windshields.
Sue, this was a foot high cutting I got from a man whose house we looked at. His wife, whom he'd lost 7-10 years previously had planted the original plant years before. The plant I have is still only hip high but his were about 6'.
Here's a picture from yesterday afternoon, it was just a bit droopy

tiG, The flower DID turn a deep, solid peach and it smells wonderful. It perked up dramatically after sunset. I couldn't quite catch the true deep color

Wow...very pretty and they do look alot alike! I have high hopes for mine come sping.
Do these plants spread by runners if they're left alone long enough??

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Stacy I know my V peach spread this way not sure on the other types

A ripe seed pod from White RT -Not (Camille??) ...Please tell me who White RT is and Camille.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Glory, was supposed to be rosa traum, i received in trade from hibiscus who had bought from LBJ. they turned out to be white. the bloom really looks like the pic of camille at lbj.
