My Isabella is 3 months old and blooming.

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

My Isabella was started from a rooted cutting with two leaves and about 14" long on 9-5-02. It had a Y but it was so low on the cutting that it ended up being potted under the soil. It now has 2 additional shoots, and the plant is over 3' tall and is covered with new buds! Between the FL climate and DH's FFF (his special fertilizer formula), I sure have some happy brugs. Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Okay - spill it! What's the secret formula???

FSH, TX

This is one of my favorite hybrids as it always seemed to put out more for me than my other hybrids. The moths seemed to like this one as well as I thought hummingbirds were swarming it the first time or second time I saw this one in bloom. This one is also very fertile both ways. Sure wish I knew the parentage on this one. Glad to hear that you had this one bloom for you so soon. Anything else blooming outside that you can cross it with?

(Zone 6a)

I have noticed that my new Isabella cuttings are growing a lot faster than ANY of my other 25 varieties of cuttings here in my basement. That girl just loves to grow I guess:)

Pretty plant...you simply *must* share that secret fertilizer recipe! (please) =)

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

25 cuttings?!! I thought you were down sizing Owen!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Annie, you guys are doing great things with those brugs. Keep the pictures coming. We are brug deprived in the midwest right now. Love seeing everyone elses pictures.

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL you guys, actually DH is trying it out and the formula is almost perfected. DH will be asking a few people to try samples in different area's of the country to see how well it works for them. He puts 1 tlbs on each plant each week right before it rains or he waters (rain is better, :-) but not always there when you need it, LOL). Remember, our soil is mostly sand and has little decaying matter in it. We mix our own soil for the pots. 1/2 our ugly sandy stuff, 1/4 finished compost and 1/4 potting soil with a little perlite mixed in. And of course, a good dose of his FFF, LOL.

Seriously, when Mike is ready to have it tried out, is there anyone who would like to for us? You just need to take two plants of the same age and type, give one the FFF and one you don't. Let us know after a couple-three months any differences.

If it works for others as well as it does for us, we will be having limited qualities of it available for sale.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

me!!!!

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

No, not at all tiG, LOL. Seems you aren't interested at all, NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Annie, I'd give it a shot if you need anyone else.

(Zone 6a)

I would, but if they grew any better with anything else, I would have to get on a ladder to smell them. lol

The garden is looking great. Isabella sure likes what you're feeding her.

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

Mike just came in and told me that he would be sending out samples to try after the New Year. If anyone wants any, please e-mail me you snail mail. We appreciate everyone helping us out to see if this TripleF formula works as well in other area's of the country on other peoples plants.

OK, FFF formula is going out tomorrow I hope. The car just decided it wasn't going to run (we think it's the fuel pump) and left Mike stranded so I'm not sure he will have wheels tomorrow but anyway, it's all labeled and ready to go.
