Good morning! It was a busy weekend. Dd and dh went to two cattle shows - one on Saturday and one on Sunday. I spent the weekend catching up and watching for cows/heifers to come into heat. Any of you use gomer bulls for breeding purposes. We have a gomer named "Homer". He thinks he is so cool because he gets to spend all his time with the girls. Our real bull has to be penned up. Homer, a jersey, weighs about 1000 lbs. The real bull (Two Sock) weighs at least 2000 lbs. (Are you getting the picture?) Well the gomer and the cows are in one lot and across the drive, Two Sock, is in his pen. Occaisionally the cows and/or the calves wonder along the fence line along the driveway. Homer just has a fit. He can't stand that his "girls" and "adopted kids" get close to his nemesis. He pretends he is a real bull and starts snorting and pawing the ground. (What he doesn't realize is that if Two Sock got out of his pen, Two Sock would beat the *&%* ouf him.) He started doing this Saturday and Two Sock started freaking out. Normally Two sock is a big pussy cat. You can brush him, pet him, etc. However, with Homer goading him, he started beating against fence, the waterer, picked up the feeder, etc. So I am out there on the driveway throwing rocks at the calves and Homer and trying to get them to run away so as to calm Two Sock down. I had to do this for about 15 minutes. I just know if somebody saw/heard me they would have called the mental hospital to come get me.

It rained almost 3 inches yesterday. The temp dropped down to low 40's last night - sure a big difference from the 90's of last week.

Congrats Kathy Jo on your anniversary.

Patty - you are so ambitious doing all that painting.

Well better get some work done. You all have a good day.
