I'm confused. Are those from cuttings or grown from seeds. I have several varieties that have not bloomed yet. Two of my plants are 3 feet tall. How tall are Abutilon supposed to grow?

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

I don't know but my orange one is now about 12 feet tall but the other colors are still rather small.

Wow! I would trim some of top out, this should make them bushy.

Wow, just love this one! (Slapping my hand - no, no, don't even think about it - your plate is full!) But am going to think about this one!

Joydie, there is a new variety or at least this last summer was the first time I saw them. They have wide open blooms similar to the orange one in Hibiscus's picture. They are called Flowering maple 'Bella' and are a compact plant that is 14 to 16 inches tall. They are 3 inch wide flared flowers and are heavy blomers. I just love them.

I also have the older varieties with the flowers that are more closed. I have a yellow one that must be 15 years old and the diameter of the trunk is at least 6 inches. It is very tall............ as tall as my old apple tree. I also have a big pink one. I love them for they grow and flower in much shade.

Oh my goodness I must have the older varieties. My plants definately look like trees. The larger ones are in 2 gallon pots and I think I'll just leave them like that. Mine appear to be putting out branches from the main stem. How long did your's take to bloom Kell? I guess I better do a little more research on mine...where to put all of these lil suckers until I see what colors they all turn out?
