my first ripe seeds

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

of my own!!! Gypsy Queen (DxS R of Eric's) x Butterfly. These are the real small seeds, so I soaked a few and just potted them up. They swelled up real nice, and I'm hoping they are fully mature. If these sprout, I'm putting some in the BGI seed bank. GQ is a very heavy bloomer.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Way to go. Hope they sprout for you. I've got to go get a look at Gypsy Queen on the BGI site. Is there a picture there?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yes, http://www.brugmansias.org/gallery2.html It bloomed earlier and longer and set more seed pods than any I had.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Way to go tiG. Hope you have good luck with them.

Hamilton, Canada

congrats to ya Ms TiG...hope you are blessed with some beauties.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Sounds like a "winner". Way to go......

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I hope Eric passed some of his talent for picking the right combinations along will all his hybrids.

(Zone 6a)

How come I don't have one of them there beautiful gypsies? Or at least a few of her children:) *hint*

Owen

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I guess you didn't ask if it smelled good!! LOL!! not very many seeds, that's why I'm growing the 7 and donating the rest to BGI. I do have more pods on a cutting that has finally rooted:)

(Zone 6a)

Well.....does it smell good? LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

So exciting
Tiglet seeds!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, I can't remember my last name!! it was next to Butterfly and in a bed of 6 brugs. I really can't remember if it did or not, sorry. :(

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Congrats tiG. Hope you get some real beauties.

(Zone 6a)

I bet it was fragrant.....I think all of Eric's crosses with Dr. Seuss were odiferous.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think you're right!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

wrong.... not kyle's pink..... can't remember about spring peach.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Not that I remember. It didn't knock me out, but it's so gorgeous I didn't care!!!

(Zone 6a)

Fragrance, frequence of flowering, feauty, and form.....the 4 F's to look for in a brug:) lol

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I wish my yard was set up differently. All of my flowers are to the north of the deck, by about 60 ft. Therefore I can't smell the brugs at night unless I bring one to the deck that is just opening, then I have to take it back to some sunshine until it is ready to bloom again.

(Zone 6a)

Put your house on rollers:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen's on a roll tonight!!! feauty??? LOL!! I can give up fragrance for more flowers, though I too would rather have both.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I wanna see a feautiful brug

Owen has been in the cake again, hic!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

All I can say is that I've seen some real feauties on this forum and if the fmell is as good as the feauty, I'll be fappy.

(Zone 6a)

LOL, Shirley.....way to go:)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It's the Pepsi talking.....

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

You've been in Owens cake too!

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!
My face is starting to hurt.......

WTG...nice to have a little laughter here!!!!

FSH, TX

The genes on my DxS hybrids are so mixed up...Whewww we. I did not that the seedpods on those varieties did tend to get a bit longer and skinnier than either parent, but with the added Butterfly...mixed up as well, abeit, not quite as mixed up. Still, I'd like to imagine a few candida types without the standard versicolor type calyx for that variety with just a hint of suaveolens in the background....but who knows what a cross like that will bring. Needless to say I can't wait to see them, but then again I'm a little biased. I do hope you get a few first year bloomers with some to die for colors though. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Sounds like a great cross and I bet will bring some beauties.
