Good morning Ladies...

It's a good morning here, a bit on the cold side.
I have sent my husband off on his journey, so will be able to diet seriously for at least 12 days.

Marigold, the reason I can diet better when he is not home is that the atmosphere is more relaxed in that we don't have to have a sit down dinner. I can fix something simple for the kids (macaroni & cheese and a salad for example) and the kids are fine with this and I will only eat the salad. When Hubby is home, he likes more of a substantial meal. And I am too weak to fix a meal and not eat it. Also, my kids like the frozen entrees, and are happy eating them. It's just not a big drawn out production to get dinner done when he iss not there, also, we wont buy the usual 2 loaves of hot bread every night...
I was starving yesterday after I took inventory all day out in the cold, climbing up on top of units of lumber, and by the time I got home, I could have eaten a horse, he had gotten the bread, and it was hot, and yes, I had two slices with butter on them....Normally I can pass on the bread with willpower, but if it is there, it's just a temptation. Another reason for eating more when he is home, he wants substantial dinners, not just a salad or soup like I would prefer, and if I dont eat somethng, he'll say, come on, eat some of the eggplant, why do you make so much if you're not going to eat any, or we cant waste this, will I have to eat this for 3 nights then because you dont want to eat it? or, you must not like your own cooking if you wont eat it.... Just talk like this is enough to drive me crazy.... or another one, a serving of (whatever) isnt going to affect your diet....

It's just easier when he isnt home, we dont have to have a sit down dinner either, which works well for me too...

today I am going to try to drink a lot of water...
