Keep pics coming. None of us can grow them! At least I can't.

Yipee! Did you get the pollen I sent to you? The mail has been incredibly slow.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

yup and it's going on it
Are they hard to pollinate?
Please tell me its not one of those things where I have to tear the bloom open.....

Not gunna do it!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is great CC . . keep us updated with photos.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I don't blame you, I would want to see the first one at least. Sending you a private e-mail.

CC, you don't have to tear the bloom open. Just pollinate it. They take quite easily. Remember to date your pollinations as the seeds take about 9 months to ripen.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

OK,all I gotta do is find some prego person who's due in 9 months, that will remind me!LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

LOL CC! Congrats! I gave up trying to grow them. You did well.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

CC . . can't wait to see pictures of that bloom open. I know you are thrilled and isn't it great that you have pollen that was shared.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Nice going Karyn. I'm sure glad you had some luck with the sang. Hope this coming storm doesn't reach you.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

How long is that bloom CC? It looks huge. Those leaves sure are pretty. It must love your cool GH.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

open, open, open!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Isn't it open yet? Pics!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

is it open yet??????????????

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Poor CC probably missed it opening with her job keeping her so busy and now at Christmas I'll bet it is even worse. Hope she gets a picture for us.

Brugie, they can take weeks to open when its cool. And the flowers will last for weeks too.

CC glad to see your sang blooming. Frost hit my plants before I could get some of them in. Liz's sang was one of them, but the plant is recovering nicely-unfortunately it has to grow all over again, but its good to see a pic of yours. Thanks for posting.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

boy I hope she gets time to enjoy it!!!!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Well,I got out early today,I ran out of hours
(drivers can only work 60 hours,I had 56,and there was no where they could send me that would only take 4 hours....YIPEEE)
I ran out and checked it and ...

It still looks the same, just a little bigger
It is 8 3/4 inches long, are they all that big?I thought they were smaller, don't ask me why......

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

The suspense is killing me!

Get rested, not good to be driving such long hours.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Jeanne, I didn't know that. Good we have some experts here to fill us in. Weeks........wow, wouldn't it be great if the regular brugs would last, even ten days?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Good for you CC. The bud looks really dark - like it's gonna be a very dark red. I guess it likes your new greenhouse! I can't wait for it to open. Do you have more buds coming?

I see you won the seed drawing from the BGI!! Congrats!!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Yeah! I just read the news letter!

If I can't win the lottery winning seeds is almost as good!
there were more larger buds but they dissapeared
but there are new small ones!

CC, I have long skinny red sangs, fat orange sangs, peach sangs, a peach sang that is pure yellow because the temperature is cooler, dark red sangs.
They come in different shapes and sizes. That's why you need to have a bunch of them. LOL

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I bet it will be worth the wait. Hopefully it will open when you have spare time to enjoy.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm hooked now, wonder how Chuck would feel about an airconditioner for the GH for the summer for the sangs!

Do the colors come true from seeds?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Brugie, my mom's Dr. Suess just quit blooming in her garage. She said the blooms were lasting ten days each, I guess because of the cool temps.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I think they do last longer, the bloom behind the front one in this link http://davesgarden.com/t/368119/ is still looking good, and my aurea white thats been blooming holds the blooms at least a week

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Ronna, I'll bet that makes her happy. Sure would be nice to have long lasting blooms in the summer months. Around here the heat and the wind can make short work of them.

That was a pretty one CC. Did you ever find the correct ID for it?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Nope,I just marked it as a CG hybrid

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks.....it really is pretty.
