Does anyone know how to start a tibouchina from cuttings! Do I put the cutting in water or soil?

do a search, there have been several times someone mentioned how they did it, can't remember for sure. I had no luck but others did.

I killed a ton of them,finally this summer I got 1 to root,
I used vermiculite,and schultz starter
Thanks CC, I will try that also. My plant tripled in its size in just a few months. I just looked at my notes and I bought in Aug and it was only 8 inches tall now it is 3 feet tall. So I have plenty to work with and I will try differnt ways and see what happens. Thanks again!
I have had several root by sticking a cutting in potting soil, vermiculite and sand mixture. Seemed fairly easy to root.
Weeds did you send me one of these once. I came up with one and didn't know or had forgotten that I had it. It was at the pond with some other things you sent so I thought it might be you. Jim
