http://www.exoticseeds.com/irida'page1.htm

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

I don't know who asked, but I can't believe they are that expensive. I have lots of the gracilis. It's quite prolific at producing new plantlets. I would like some of the other two if anyone has some to trade.

would be glad to trade but that is what i have also. i rember that the person that was asking had the blue and white and was looking for the yellow

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

i wish some would walk over here to my garden!!!! =]

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

I can walk some your way if you want the white with purple center. I want to send you some glorybower seed anyway.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

pam sounds like a plan and i want to walk some horse radish your way this spring.
florida what a nice warm state!!!! =] its so darn cold here this week 17 is our high and saying 5 for the low tonight!!!
i want spring!!!!

Tampa, FL(Zone 9b)

wow! That is too cold for me! I'm glad I moved to florida!!

Tokyo, Japan

Unfortunatly my yellow from Taxco, Mexico doesn't self seed for me, but produces numerous pups...
Many pups. Lots of pups. Innumerable pups.
Pups I end up having to throw away.

Ohhh - I would love the purple or white...

International trade is of course impossible...

Would of course gratefully receive culture advice-type emails...
:)

notmartha, Should I wait til spring to send them or send them now? The gracilis is little plants, will they freeze on the way?

Lophophora, I've never seen any seed, do they produce a seed for sure? But like you, sometimes I just throw a "pup" away if it gets broken off.

Too bad I can't send you a pup or two.

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

I have about 10 Neomarica longifolia plantlets available for trade, with alot of new roots (I put my new plantlets in cups of water to fully root before potting) I would love some of the other 2 varieties. I am in Fl so if any of you guys think shipping/trading would be ok this time of year email me!!!

I have some of the gracilis(white) would love to trade can we do this in the spring.

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

Yep that would work!!! I will probably have over 50 plantlets available in the spring. Mine are in my greenhouse and are covered in buds and blooms so many new babies are soon to arrive!!!

Katrina

cool: mine don't divide that fast must be the climate

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

Well I have about 8 northiana and have yet to see them bloom in over a year!! I don't know what their deal is but can't seem to get them to flower or pup UGH...

plantsdirect, could I please send you some gracilis? I would love some of the purple(even if you haven't seen a bloom) and yellow. Or if there is something else I could send if you don't want more gracilis. Please let me know. Look on my trade list and see if you can find anything. I may have some things not on the trade list I could come up with too. Do you have a want list?

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

Well I would be happy to dig a couple for you, although I am kinda iffy because they were from a trade and I haven't seen them bloom, though they do have the waxy foilage of the purple. If you're willing to take a chance thats fine. I would love any of them except more yellow!!! I have a ton of those, I looked at your list what color is your butterfly ginger? I have white but would be interested in other colors. Let me know!!!

I have tons of white butterfly ginger, but I just bought a pink that was divided into several pieces, I could send you one of those (they aren't real big like my white ones). I could divide some firespike, pine cone ginger, or flowering almond if any of those interest you.

I would love a pink butterfly ginger, and I posted on another thread about your roadside lily seeds. I am not familiar with flowering almond???

Katrina,
I'm sorry, I forgot about the pink ginger and I forgot to find a picture of the flowering almond for you to look at. I've been on the road so much lately, don't know if I'm coming or going. Got to go again the first of next week for several days.

Your package arrived today. It was fine. I've been wanting the foxtail fern a long time. Just saw the bird of paradise this summer. Hummingbirds love the firespike. I'm not familiar with the palm grass. Will enjoy all these, thanks so much.

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

Did you get the Flowering maple too? It was a small stick with little leaves that look like maples. I LOVE the foxtail fern its my favorite! I went to a trade show (florida nursery growers association) for work in september and got umm about 25 of those for 5.00!! People try and sell out their samples so they don't have to tote em back home !! Your iris are beautiful, lets just hope I can get em to bloom I have a couple others but they don't bloom for me. I put them in a cup of water on the window sill to root for now!! Thanks so much going to plant a few of the lily seeds to see if they will come up in the greenhouse and plant the rest in spring! THANK YOU!

Katrina

Oh and don't worry about the others just send me a pic when you get a chance of the almond. The palm grass is beautiful and multiplys it is tropical though and dies to the ground in our zone if left outside. It will also work as a houseplant! I have one in the office at work thats doing well!@

Yes, I went and looked again and found the maple. Love the bloom on those. I'm excited about all my new little plants. Can't wait for springtime and growth. Thanks for trading.

Old Town (Gainesvill, FL(Zone 8a)

Let me know how they are doing in spring, the flowering maples grow amazingly fast from cuttings, mine is still blooming even after the few frosts we have had (its out in the open!) I started some cuttings a few months ago and they are about 18" and blooming already also!!!! My mom has some pink ones, I should get cuttings if it hasn't died back to ground yet!!! I will let you know how the iris do and am going to try to start some of the lily seeds inside the greenhouse and save the rest for spring :) Thanks again

Katrina
