Could you please tell me more about this Jade. Because I have a Jade that I'm trying to find out what kind it is. My Jade has a thick stem at the bottem, but gets nearrow at the. The leaves are a dark green, but are thin. When I got it, it had sucluent and cati on it. And someone said it was a Jade tree.

i just love your jade. Jades are succulents and need full sun and need to be watered well, then left to almost dry out. Yours must be quite old. Is it growing outside? I have one that is only a few years old and is grown indoors and has never bloomed. I have started given it more light through artificial lights and it is doing great. Maybe someday it will bloom

It is growing in the alley behind a neighbor's house in full sun. It was almost as large when we moved here 42 years ago. Our annual rainfall is about 12 inches with luck.
That's about all the water it gets.

i have some other succulents that i bought this year -small starter plants -but they weren't identified. anyone knowledgable about succulents?
I would love to hear from u.I will try to take some pictures soon and post so they can be identified for me. I believe one could be a trailing jade. not sure of the others

I just bought two jade plants at a nursery that is going out of business. One grows upright and the other seems to be growing down! They are each about a foot tall and the stems are about 2 inches wide at the bottom! Now that I've read your comments, I think one of mine just be the trailing kind, which I didn't know existed!

Oops...sent wrong pic AND it's sideways....that works for wine but not pics...sorry!!! I can't edit it...

And here is the other one that is growing more upright. I thought Jade plants were only for indoors here in Texas....is that true?

I do now!! I never had heard of this plant til today. Probably have seen it before in the past though. I don't know if the bottom pic is a jade plant or not. The leaves are different than on the other ones but I know that on some plants that don't mean nothing! LOL

Beautiful! I have 2 that I take care of. Both about 4 ft tall and indoors; one at work and the other at home. The one at work is blooming and I'm hoping the one at home will bloom soon. I have heard that they only bloom once they reach a certain age and then only once every 50 or so years. I'm still searching for answers to that question.
