JT you're Brugs are certainly outdoing themselves with gorgeous blooms.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

SSSSOOOOOO PRETTY!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

LOL - it looks like standing room only in there!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

JT, next year I have got to send you cuttings from my Pink Beauty. It is absolutely not the same as this one. Wish I had been able to get the cuttings you sent to root, but maybe we can do something next year before all the rain hits. Hope you don't have the bad rains next year. This is very pretty and I love the way it recurves.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

JT it looks like you have a greenhouse full of blooms, i am so glad. brugie, mine and JTs came from the same place and mine doesn't look like his. i just had a bloom on a young plant that is in the right place to make it through my weather so far, and it bloomed peach. maybe if i looked at it from this angle it would look like JT's.
Mine looks like the pic of pink lady in Monika's book. i'm not saying that is what it is. and much as i loved the blooms, butterfly was a much better bloomer after the first flush for me.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Very beautiful JT.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Sooo Pretty!!!!! I dont have one and must add it to my christmas wish list..

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Brugie,we do need to trade next spring.I suggest a started cutting if possible.Mine have been hard to get rooted. It could be because i'm reluctant to cut into the hardwood and have been using green stuff to root.I'm resorting to air layering.I also have one from Cala that is supposed to be somewhat different.
Arlene,if yours and mine aren't the same I would like to trade for one of those as well.I'm basing a lot of my breeding program on the "R" kids and want as wide an assortment of genetic material as possible.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

JT, will be glad to trade cuttings, can't have too many Rs. but we both got ours from barbara, right? i'm wondering if it's just conditions....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Mine came from Barbara also, but just doesn't have any of the recurve. Blooms more like a suaveolens. Just a big bell on it. Nice color too.
JT, I'll try to get one to start over the winter.

Brugie, i can't imagine they came from different plants? Barbara, where are you? did you have other R kids besides pink beauty?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene, I don't think she did. It is probably the difference in the weather. I can't remember now, but think mine looked like yours or Susie's. Nothing like JT's or tiG's. Strange how that can happen.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine didn't come from the same source.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

tig, does yours look like pink lady in monika's book?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this is the best picture of her. I don't think it looks like Pink Lady, but this is a summer picture. in the fall, the flowers were tons smaller and hardly any recurve. Here's an August (I think) picture. will see if I can find a fall one.

here's a mid Oct picture when they started losing the recurve.

The mid Oct. picture is what mine look like. Even blooms down the branches like mine. Great picture tiG.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

so maybe they are the same, and it's light, humidity or something that causes more recurve?

Beautiful pictures Gone2Seed and Tig. Keep those pictures coming!

hi Eric!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi Eric, good to see you. Are they keeping you busy?

FSH, TX

Hibiscus and Tig,
Yes, they are keeping me extremely occupied, but against my better judgement I just had to come and look at a few of the pictures posted here. Its an addiction you know.

Of course I keep thinking of tetraploid crosses with Brugmansia now. I don't know if were quite ready for that, but still, I'd like to see a few tetraploids just to experiment with.
