It finally bloomed

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

After 18 months one bloom and a bud on Marrabech. It's sort of a mingled orange peach but this is a greenhouse bloom.I suspect the"outside"color might be more peach.I have noticed that inside several different brugs show more orange.Cypress Gardens is showing some orange edges and Island Girl turned a bright, pure orange as she matured.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

It's beautiful. Everytime I read that name that old song by Crosby Stills Nash and Young(I think it was them)runs through my head forever - Marrakesh Express.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Very pretty can't wait to see the color this summer.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

JT I haven't sent my pollen to Gloria yet, do you know what you want to use? or do you have enough?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Oh my,I think I goofed. I had waited and waited on this one to do something for me and gave up. I can get a start of it again if I want to, but as you can tell, this was another one I gave away. Oh KYLE!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh Kyle, take two!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Tig,thanks but I have plenty of pollen....unless you have some AQ as Snow suggested.
Monika had said, earlier, that Marrabech and Cuba were slow to bloom and she was right as usual.I have had both, growing in pots, for 18 months before seeing any blooms.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

sorry, don't have that. good luck!!!

(Zone 7b)

That is an awesome looking flower.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Glad to finally see a picture. I have a couple of small cuttings and I wasn't even sure what color it was supposed to be. It's a beauty JT!

FSH, TX

Beautiful picture Gone2Seed. This one is slow to bloom you say...but how much does it bloom once it gets started? Is it a heavy bloomer?....repeat bloomer?

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

It's too soon to tell how much and how often she blooms. This is it's first time.I will try to keep
everyone up-dated.I fit blooms heavily and often it is definately a keeper.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I love this one, not sure if I like it better than Emberglow though. I keep working on the picture galleries, and Emberglow stops me in my tracks everytime!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Well thanks Tig.I kinda like it too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

JT, i hope you still have blooms coming, it isn't much pollen, but it's on the way. a flower or two tops, but could make something fabulous!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

I have one bud about three days away.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

good, pollen is coming priority, so it should be there!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Good luck with the cross. I'm drawn back to this picture each time I visit Daves.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

The pollen arrived today and the timing was perfect.Marrabeck surprised me with two more blooms and pollen was placed on each.If these take I will give seed to tig for supplying the pollen, keep a few and donate the rest to the BGI seed bank.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I hope it takes for you and for tiG and BGI. What a guy!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, I only want a couple!!! Those would be great in the bank!!
