The cold weather lately has turned my brugs in to an awful mess :-(
I know the roots will survive here, but what am I supposed to do with the above ground mess? Leave it or cut it down?
Miserable looking brugs
They look like the tops would still be okay for rooting if you need them, but if the weather is going to continue to freeze for you, I'd cut them back, mulch the base of the plant, and wait for spring. Sad isn't it, that this has to happen? We haven't had brugs in the ground now for almost two months.
Painted lady, i dug up a very few and put in pots so that i can protect them. have them under my oak canopy, lol which gives right good protection, but i can always put them inside, lay the pots on the side and cover them, or something if a bad frost comes. i dug up HG, Maya, pink beauty/rosamond, species, might dig a couple more. i have cuttings outside and seeds in pots, some seedlings up.
