well you've done good at letting them ripen. it will be interesting to see the difference in the seeds between whiskers/ isabella and isabella/whiskers... looks like the whiskers pod is shorter.
i cut back, supposed to freeze tonight. yesterday they said mid 30s, today they say upper 20s.... i have some pods in water like larry said, i think a few will make it. covered up pods on a couple outside.
I have two nice pods on Inca Sun X Whiskers....waitin and waitin and.....LOL
i bet that will make some pretty babies.
OK ,felt too guilty being lazy so I went out and harvested
213 in the suavenolens
130 in the Isabella x whiskers

So what happens if you leave the pod on too long? In nature would'nt it rot and then the seeds would be released?

CC- do you have a store on Dave's? So you harvest the pods when their green? What the Datura pods? I heard to wait until their brown--Is that correct?
Nice bunch of seeds CC. You'll have to till up another acre next year for all your new babies.
CC, you sure turn out the seeds, always have tons in your pods . the kyle's pink pod DH broke off this morning has probable 150 plus, too tired to count them....
DR,the pods are ripe when the stem of the pod turns yellow,and usually the pod has turned a darker green with some brown or black.If you feel the pod it is kinda sqishy,and you can feel the individual seeds.
Datura pods turn brown and start to split when they are ready.
And no,I don't have a store on Daves.....
I was just gunna offer them for postage.....

Thanks CC! The native daturas pods turn brown here(their a weed)--but I thought I've been waiting too long. Later if you offer the seeds--I'll find some thing for you. Wish me luck I'm going toy shopping today!
