Web publishing help

OK, I finally figured out enough about Front Page to make a little website. I tried to upload it to my Comcast site, it didn't work, I can't get the files to transfer, even though I have the FTP thingie. Microsoft wizzard put them on MSN for me, and I clicked "private" and now no one except me can see them. I have two questions. How do I get the files to transfer to my personal web page? How do I get the files to transfer in the same format that they are saved on my hard drive, i.e. when they transfered, the pictures weren't there on the webpage I had created, but were in a separate file and a little X showed where the picture went.
#2 How do I make the MSN page where others can see it? I've clicked on every button on the page and can't figure it out. I am sorry I am such a computer dummy.
