yvana: This is a beautiful bellis, much tidier than mine. Is it a certain cultivar?

Yes, I just looked back on the plant marker and it is a Cultivar called "Pomponette Pink" English Daisy. It's funny that I found the marker now as I couldn't find it earlier! Isn't that always the way it works?!

I really enjoyed mine this summer as they are tidier than others like "Habanera Mix", which I also tried this year.

Thanks for the interest. I have heard nice things about you thru our mutual friend, eloopj. :)
Take care,
Yvana

Thanks, Yvana. I'm going to see if I can find any info on "Pomponet Pink". Then we could enter it as its own cultivar. I've only grown the plain old garden variety. I'll have to see what's available in seed for some of these fancier lawn daisies! I had so many self seeded plants last year I was giving them away by the boxful!

If you want me to enter it as a new cultivar in the database, let me know. I can fill in a few details.

I will let you know next summer if I harvest any seeds from my plants, and you are more than welcome to some. (I am new to seed-gathering, still learning how to recognize a fully mature seed.)

As a matter of fact, I was just looking at a website that has details on many kinds of seeds and their pods: http://theseedsite.co.uk/seedpods.html Yes, Yvana, why not enter it. I know they'd like us to enter each cultivar individually, and this certainly qualifies. I'd just post the picture again, then we can have the other one deleted, if you like, or leave it there.

Thanks so much for the seed website! I really needed something to reference for all the various types of seeds and how to harvest. I will definitely give the English Daisy a try this summer and let you know how it goes!
Thanks again.
