There is a hungry deer population here where I live. Has anyone had a problem with deer eating there brugs?
Deer
They will not last long if they eat many of your brugs. All parts of brugs are poisonous.
Yeah but the buggers eat plumerias and oleanders sometimes.
I have deer and moose here and they've never touched the Brugs. Now the bear are another story. They have never eaten them but did run through two of them when I opened the back door and scared one this summer.
Yikkes! I guess tarantulas and scorpians aren't that bad.
Had deer a couple of times in the garden this summer and no signs of damage at all. We would have a freezer full of meat had they taken a bite out of my babies. :-) Iowa is having a big problem with the huge deer population. Many, many deer/car accidents and injuries. They have even opened an extra season on the deer to get rid of more, but they just keep having babies, lots of does, and more babies. Can't keep up with them.
i saw 3 at my sis's the other day, crossing a cow pasture. i have a bambi complex but i am with you on that one, and on snow's bear too! would make a great rug for winter. i would be scared to death having a bear in my back yard.
the deer use our land as a pass through and they used to eat something else I had in my seedling bed down to the ground. Since I put brugs there, they don't bother a thing.
The deers here are eating my roses but never have eaten Brugs.

You get used to them Arlene. There's so many here. Only had one mean one in 15 yrs but I never trust them.In summer I don't let my GS play outside unless I am outside with him.
Oh to live in an area where deer were a problem, LOL. That is what I want more than anything, to live in the country. Anyway, I have some critter (haven't seen it just it's damage) that will eat any baby plant and they won't touch the brugs. Now if I could get the leaf cutter bees to feel that way, LOL.
