This picture doesn't do this one justice. It's a faint lemon custard color. I just love the shape of these flowers, and the tree is huge. I almost forgot to post this one and another, y'all had me so busy making drinks.

What's the parentage on this one Cala?
Nice looking brug.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Jeanne..........not so smart now are you when you have not been fed the answer???

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty and I love the shape of this one. I bet the big tree full of blooms is beautiful and smells so good in the Jungle House.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh no, did she lose points??? OK there will be a test later....... It's Dr.Seuss, unknown daddy but I think Whiskers is the guilty party. He was a rounder.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

It is really pretty. Keep them coming . . .

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Wait, I didn't tell parentage. Sorry Brugcrazy, my bad. No points will be deducted, lol.(that's what y'all get for having a scatterbrained teacher, lol)Now I'll be walking around with my camera all day looking for stumpers!! Wonder how many diseases I can find in my Jungle House??

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Well for your sake I hope none, but I do love the classes. Just find us some interesting bugs and for goodness sake watch where you put your hands.
Forgot to ask is this a small bloom? I love that color and shape.

Susie,

Do you think the color will change and be deeper in the summer?

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning Dee! Missed you last night!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Dee, I sure hope so. I put some pollen on it. I've gotta get a bigger lot to grow my brugs on. I'll be so out of room next year.(gotta move south, so I don't have to bring in hundreds of brugs)

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Sorry I couldn't join the party, got some upsetting news I had to deal with. Hope ya'll had a good time

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Dee, is everyone OK? We will be thinking of you.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

I think I need a vacation in the pysch ward for awhile. Geez you would think my girls were still little. This time it was me, doctors declared me a diabetic yesterday and put me on meds. The upside is this med is supposed to make you loose weight. Waiting on USDA approval as a weight loss drug. Took my first pill last night, and you know what I think I saw 5 pounds disappear this morning, LOL. Hope I get used to these pills real soon, they make you feel strange.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Dee is everthing OK? Can we help?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Dee, do take care of yourself. I have a friend who is on the new meds too. He said it's better than the old ones. Be careful and don't let your blood sugar get too low, he has trouble with that.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Dee, I'm so sorry to hear this. Hope your body adjusts to the meds quickly. I know I'd have a terrible time if I found I was a diabetic because I'm a candy adict. I haven't had chocolate in weeks now, but I'm still eating candy. Diabetes is in my family, so I expect someday to get the news too. Hang in there. I've heard of people who were diabetic and on the pills that were able to go back off of them too. Wouldn't that be great.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Dee, hope you get adjusted soon to your meds. It's true you should watch and make sure your blood sugar does not drop too low. I hope the new meds work for you and that you will be able to get off of them later on - - many people do. Watch your diet and take good care of yourself.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Yes Shirley that would be great, but you know I want to loose about 40 or 50 pounds first. Dr said that this will lower my cholesterol too. So sound like an all around good thing. He told me to keep orange juice handy in case the sugar level drops. The problem I am going to have is I do alot of holiday baking, guess I am going to have to put a padlock on my lips, LOL.

Thanks for caring all. I will be fine, just the shock of it yesterday and had to cope with it. I tend to hide for a bit with bad news, but hey it could have been worse!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Steve said the thing that helped him most were the diabetic classes(ins paid for them). He can have dessert every now and then.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Dee,does this have something to do with the problem you had earlier? Hope everything works out.

My Dad just asked me the other day how my sugar levels are....
I said "I dunno,I've never had it checked ,theres no diabeties in the family"
Wrong,he has it.....so I'm doomed

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey Dee,

You better send me the name of those pills if it will help with weight loss and cholesterol. Maybe I could get on them. How can I fake high blood sugar? :-) Just kidding. Wouldn't it be nice though to have a pill that would lower weight and cholesterol and not have any side effects.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Susie I have been to some of the classes you have to do that with High Cholesterol. You just have to watch what you eat. I am not a big dessert eater but like to nibble, hehe.

Karyn just because he has it does not mean you are doomed. Neither my mother or father have it, but my grandmother did. Seems I take after her for alot of things. They are not sure but don't think the 2 are related.

Shirley will let you know when I get home what they are called. It looks like they will be on the market soon, but will still be prescription drug. Good thing I don't pay for my prescriptions this now takes me up to 9 pills a day not including vitamins

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh Dee, with that many pills I wouldn't have room for food. Seriously, I'm not going to be taking anything I don't have to take. Right now, I'm down to two prescriptions that are necessary to keep me alive and then I eat some of the other stuff like Vit. E, soy, aspirin, etc. Of course, I supplement it all with food. :-)

FSH, TX

Very nice Cala. I must confess theres just something about that one I like. First year bloomer I take it?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi Eric,

How's it going? Good to see you post again.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

brugman you like the small size of the flower, the shape, the tendrils! my taste in brugs is catching up with yours, lol.
Dee, take care, btw, we are mid 30s tonight and tomorrow.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Hi Eric, yes, I like this one. It's sort of a Candida type(at least I think it is) and has thick substance. It's still trying to decide which color it wants to be.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Love the shape of this flower and the long tendrils.

Cala,
I believe you are right about Whiskers being the daddy....it sure is pretty.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Very Beautiful Cala but moving to the south won't help you unless you go way south to Florida. We on the Mississippi Gulf Coast get just enough cold to kill everything back then the temps go back to the 60's or more. It's really sickening. Like tonight it is supposed to get to 33 then warm right back up tomorrow. It is just cold enough to mess everything up.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I've got my sights set on South Texas, Port Isabella or South Padre Island(where we spend winter vacation).

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Can hardly wait Cala!!!!!!!
