Thought you might enjoy a story that was told at my work today.
A Husband of one of the nurses that work in a clinic close to my lab wanted to buy a $3,000 deer rifle. He had never even been hunting before, but decided he wanted the rifle anyway. When he talked to his wife, She said she wished he wouldn't. It was a lot of money, it was Christmas and tax time. He didn't listen and went ahead and bought the gun. He was successful with deer hunting and I guess he got a beautiful buck. When he got it to the wild life check He decided to take a picture of the deer with the $3,000 rifle in the rack. So He and a couple other guys jammed the gun down into the antlers tightly and then started getting ready for the picture. All of a sudden the deer came to life, jumped up and ran off with the very expensive gun in the rack. No one as far as anyone knows has found the deer or the gun. The wife, of course, is furious. Another good reason to field dress a deer.
