Sending cuttings/plants to Eorope and vice versa

Horn, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

Hi Gardeners. I'm a newbie on DG and in seedtrading general.
Also a newbie on the internet. I've never traded any plants or cuttings. I was wondering... Is it possible to send cuttings/plants/roots/bulbs from USA to Europe (Netherlands) and vice versa??? Do you have any experiences with this and did it went well?? I've already posted a reply with the same question to Cajunace. Later on I noticed the possibility to start a new thread. (Sorry Cajunace. But I still love to have a cutting of one of your Brugs, if it's possible)
Thanks for all your answers, Saya.

I don't have any experience with this, but some others do, I believe. It might be easier to get some from Monika, maybe? She's in Germany I think. She's the expert brug grower, even written a book.

I have gotten plants from US without problems, but sending them there might not be a good idea...

Monika does sell plants. You need a phyto and import license.

I don't think you need those if sending from an EU country to another? As we don't even need passport nor customs labels in the EU region anymore.

well it can be done either way provided the package isnt intercepted LOL

I was speaking just of importing to the US, not between EU countries.

when I mail plants the US I no longer put a customs label on the package. my local post master doesnt tell me to do so anymore.
