Recycled Candles

Cambria, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi all you crafty folk! This has probably been discussed somewhere down the line in threads, but I didn't have the patience to search. Here's what I'm up to. I burn candles, and more candles. And I save the ones that are particularly nice after the wick is gone, clean them up and store them until I have enough to do a recycling project. I just started pulling them out, and am on the search for some high grade wicks. I find that right now I prefer the large ones with multiple wicks. I've already started saving my favorite containers for this project, but find they aren't as big as I'd like. For square, I use the waxed dairy containers (milk, cottage cheese, etc) and for round I like the cardboard nut and coffee containers. But these tend to have a maximum diameter of 4" or so and what I'm looking to create is something more in the 6" or larger range. Anyone else do candles? I'd love to exchange some ideas. I love candles so much that I still have a picture of the first candle I made at 10 years old (that would be multiple decades ago, BTW) and plan to use the same method this time of using the itty bitty icecubes in the container to get that "lacy" look, at least for some of them, if just for the memory. Any ideas for me? Stella
