Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Yesterday I ended up staying with my Granddaughter at her house. She has the beginnings of a cold and I didn't think the cold auction barn would be a good place for her to be. Hubby went alone and brought home a nice little hereford heifer. She is only about 250 pounds so it will be quite a while - a year or so before we can even breed her. She is a pretty little thing though.
Well, We have a goat that has managed to climb on top of the combine and fall into the hopper. I didn't find her until yesterday evening. She looks fine so will work on getting her out this morning. It is like trying to climb a mountain to go down a well. We tried to lassoe her to pull her out, but she isn't so tame and ducks away from us. So I have a lightweight wooden ladder I will try to climb down and get her today. If that doesn't work I think I will have to throw hay bales down in there so she can climb out. Hmmm.
Then we are taking a few sheep to market. Take Care everyone.
