I just trashed the only cutting that remained of it. I have asked Dave to please delete it from the database. As far as I am concerned, anyone who pleases can use the name. Since I don't have a list of all the brug names currently in use, I have no idea if that name is being used, but it isn't by me any longer anyway:)

It was lacking in fragrance, plus there has been a question of who should have named it....so to put the situation to rest, I put it out of existence. There are many white brugs available that have fragrance as well as appearance anyway:)

owen, to put an end to the one question, if you bought the seeds, and there was nothing about the hybridizer keeping naming rights (some do, and that's fine) then you were the one to name it. She was a beauty.

oops, see that I should add something. If you were given the seeds, and no rights were placed on them, it was yours to name. Now you know you're causing me to take cuttings of every single C. ursuline out there, just in case one was half as special as yours. !!

Thanks, but I don't want anything to do with it anymore, poppysue. The name has been removed. Any remaining cuttings should be regarded as just another UNNAMED white brug. I am washing my hands of the whole matter about any names for it. I had forgotten about sending any cuttings of it to anyone, but if I did.....please don't call it Idamood! A certain individual was trying to hassle me about my naming it! I don't want any more hassles! Hope you understand:) Best that that particular brug goes to brug heaven.

Aha! So the real story comes out. That doesn't seem right to me. What's the deal with hybrids from seeds that are purchased? If you get a spectacular plant from seeds that are bought - they aren't name-able?
yes, unless the hybridizer kept the naming rights. I've never seen any for sale online where they did that.
