Another beautiful picture Arlene. Wow, what a big butterfly brug. It certainly loves its environment. What a great job you have done and I am so happy that you are enjoying all the fall blooms.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Very beautiful. I had a few blooms in the Jungle House, but I won't have anything like that till next summer. I bet your are really enjoying this last flush. How many more weeks till you expect a frost?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Susie, low 30s tonight but it is still cloudy and windy, i'm hoping the front is slow moving. if we make it past tonight could have up to 5-6 more weeks without frost. i have buds on 3-4 seedlings getting ready to open for the first timme, really really close.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Arlene, I hope it holds off for you and your seedlings get to open.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Arlene, wish I was closer, I'd come help you cover them!! Hope it stays windy and cloudy, that should keep the frost away.

FSH, TX

This is one of the few I kept. Simply stunnnig Arlene! So good to see your Brugs doing so good.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Arlene--how absoultely beautiful. I a green with envy. Good luck on avoiding frost.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Eric, so good to see you. I have pictures coming your way in the snail mail.

FSH, TX

Good news indeed Tig. I can't wait to get them. It hasn't snowed where I am at in 17 years so perhaps I will get lucky with something this year if not then there is always next year. I think I am going to enjoy just seeing everyone elses hybrids though. I just can't wait to see a double pink come out of Daves gardens members. Of course in the mean time someone else will come up with a red candida or such, but such is life. We can always dream.

Dripping Springs, TX

Arlene what do u "juice" those things with?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

DR, lol, i like you way with words. i have sand on lime rock. the ones that did well were amended with a lot of black kow, watersorb crystals, and osmocote.

Dripping Springs, TX

I've gor the lime, I can buy the sand--Is black Kow manure or compost? I have crytals and what is the osmocote? Or are u gonna hold out on me?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

DR, osmocote is time released fertilizer, best bought at a seed and feed, much cheaper than the little bottles they sell at walmart. best for the soil too, time released, gradual, it is mostly absorbed by plant roots instead of going through to water supply. black cow is a bagged sterilized manure. they also sell black hen, lol!!!! that one cracked me up. any good compost kind of stuff will work well.
i didn't buy any sand, that's what kind of soil i have here, sand on chunks of lime rock. that's why i have to add so much stuff to it.

Dripping Springs, TX

You silly girl! I would have asked for "kow" good thing kell hasn't read this--yet!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

lololol,,, when my kids were little i was in kmart on halloween morning and bought one of those cow costumes for 90% off.. 1.99 it was and wore to their elementary school parties. some of DH's friends still call me moo ma ma. home depot sells the stuff here. come to think of i haven't seen the black hen there this year, lol.

Dripping Springs, TX

We have compost by the cubic yard here. I need in the rock pit I have.
