Looks great Arlene
Thank you
GL
oh arlene!!! wonderful!!
Just gorgeous!
I have lost 2 Culebra starts.
I am thinking maybe my climate is hard for Culebra,
as usual is I have excellent luck will all brugs.
This brug and your photo ..very pretty (o:
You certainly have a way with this plant.
WOW . . it certainly is doing well for you. I don't think I have ever seen one with so many blooms.
OH WOW !!
Stunning, I love this bloom!
That's gorgeous, you've sure got a green thumb! Mine has died back twice, now coming out again. Will probably end up losing it.
What, Hibiscus? Your thumb? :-) Just kidding.
Gulp, sure hope NOT!
Hibiscus, DO NOT water it!!! not until it is growing really well.
gee Arlene, I am trying to get out and do some gardening............but the show you are putting on is too hard to walk away from. This is a brug that I fell in love with when I saw my first picture of it. Very nice!!!
What a beauty!! You do have a way with that plant!!
thanks guys, but i just fertilize it. it had tons of blooms in eary summer, they all fell off and it lost its leaves. this one is definitely a south of the equator kind of plant, wants to bloom in winter.
Thanks you for advice. I think it had bugs bothering it this summer. It is doing very well right now, have not been watering it much at all.
Very beautiful Arlene.Mine, that you gave me,is about three feet tall now.
G2S, glad to hear that. mine is in a pot, probably only 3 feet tall. hopefully yours will bloom this winter.
Beautiful Arlene
Beautiful Arlene. The cuttings you sent me are now starting to leaf out. They are doing good so far.
Wow Arlene!! That's loaded! I hope you get some pods on it. Wanna donate your picture to the PDB?

A real beauty Arlene. You do so well with this one.
Glad to see your Culebra doing so well Arlene. She is most certainly a beauty. Anyone create a Culebra in pink yet? Sure would be nice to get those thin leaves on a dark pink hybrid regardless though. I think the Culebra will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the more exotic Brugs with a bit of history behind it.
I've not seen one that looks better than Arlene's does. I'm soooo jealous.
Arlene or anybody--are those blooms considered open?
Arlene can give you actual size, but they are open and they are small. Very small blooms. Unique in the way they are split petals.
I sure wish mine bloomed like yours - so far nothing. Had buds, croaked when it came into the GH. I don't have a pink culebra but I do have a culebra x Jam Yellow. The leaves are somewhere between culebra and not - it'll be my luck to end up an unnamed white.
I'd be thrilled to have my culebras look a quarter as good as yours.
so you have not seen the flowers yet Liz, on the hybrid? Won't it be something if it is a yellow one!
liz, your culebra x JY sounds great, even if white, will be good stock....
my culebra only seems to be happy in the fall. it kept its flowers through the frost.
it would be nice Kell- but I'm not holding my breath, summer is a long way away.
so you are home Miss Lizzy........ well catch up.....I have started the party without you!! Cheers! And Arlene is up late also......... you want a glass Arlene??
oh no not again! how do you have the stamina Kell?
Hi DR!! We are having a birthday party for Miss Lizzy! She is 29 years old blonde knockout! LOL
29! Is she even old enough to drink? GRIN Happy Bday Liz!!! The "juice" Arlene drinks must be the stuff she feeds her brugs...lol
