Rosalie is very pretty even with winter color. Beautiful tendrils. I have a question....Is Hofwil an aurea or what?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Shirley,sorry I lost this question....

The day before I phoned Monika and asked about Hofwil.

She told me that she dont like to use Hofwil for hybridizising.

I think Hofwil is a candida. Some aurea in.
GL

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

that is a gorgeous brug.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Ludger. I, for some reason, like the looks of the Hofwil bloom. Fat chance that I'd ever have to worry about having it to hybridize with anyway. :-)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Soooo pretty.....

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I do not know Brugie.........you live right so you may get lucky!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Shirley,
imagine we all would like the same brugs and all would hybridizise the same crossings...lol.It would be boring after some time because all of us only would have the same hybrids.
I think it is very ok that each of us like different brugs for hybridizising.
GL

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

Ludger, being new to brugs have much to learn, but speaking about hybridizing, I would think there are endless possibilities from the same cross. Each cross could possibly pickup different genes from the parents. Anyway, your brugs are to die for.

Hi Ludger, I must have missed this posting back in Novemeber! It's a beautiful flower!

Bruno

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Larry, you are right but after some crossings you mostly know what it will bring to you. There is a time where you can not see more white suavolenshybrids...lol.

Bruno, I posted this picture because you asked wether all dark pink brugs would be pale in winter.
They are...

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Ludger- do you grow any brugs that aren't lovely? *smile*
Another wonderful one to dream about.
I like how defined this flower is, has a very nice quality about it. Kristi
