Did everyone go out tonight?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy, this forum and all the others are really slow tonight. Thought I'd start a thread and see if I have to post to myself. Have a good night to anyone who reads this. :-)

Yep - I think they've all gone out!! Very pretty combination Shirley - looks like spirea. That only blooms early here in Ga, way before the brugs are thinking about showing off!

Pretty picture Shirley. I've been playing in the dirt, was time to put a couple seedlings into bigger pots.

AH Summer - I remember when ~~ makes me feel warm.

Calera, OK(Zone 7b)

Well, it looks like we may get our first frost tomorrow night. That means my time has run out. No more putting off getting the tender things inside before Jack Frost gets them. I still have a lot of things blooming. I guess I lived in So. California so long that I want blooms all winter long.:

babysitting and still packing in between. I'm here in spirit.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

you've been packing all day - what the heck are you mailing?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, I've been packing at. I have 17 more boxes, and that's not so bad, but I have a lot of different cuttings and I'm trying to make sure they get their postage worth. I'm just doing it assembly style, and I feel like i'm filling easter baskets:) I used to go through this with the kids baskets, to make sure it was as even as possible (they'd count!! LOL)

I was feeling so bad earlier, I couldn't get anything done, so I was just thinking about packing then:)

LOL tiG, I fell asleep early and am just now getting into reading the forums.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

hardly any posts on the brug forum on Friday. I do not think I have ever seen so few. Everyone is probably taking a rest from all the gardening all summer and the work to put the garden to bed in the fall.

I have a good excuse. I was at work!!!!!!!! Yuk.

Great to see you all. The big white blooming plant is a Sweet Autumn Clematis. Hope you all have a good day. Thanks!!

Beautiful picture full of such pretty plants. I can see that all of you stayed up late. I was very tired and went to bet at 10:30 because I have been getting up at six for the past several days and working all day outside. I guess it just caught up with me.
tiG, I know you must be worn out from packing all those boxes so late at night.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it was just the fierce headache, better this morning. the rain doesn't help though. thanks for thinking of me, I'll be fine:)

I love that Sweet Autumn Clematis. It loves to grow on the top of other shrubs, as well as up posts. The color of the white is hard to describe. It is the smoothest, warmest, creamiest white. And the somewhat pointy leaves are rather leathery, shiny, and very rich-looking. They give the impression they are an evergreen, but they are not. Well, shucks, we can't have everything.

It sure doesn't look like this now. I'm debating whether to go out and cut it back or just leave it. I've always cut it to the ground each year.
