when you're upset. I had a C. double white in a pot that I could have brought in. decided instead to just take cuttings. I cut down a tree with 4 seed pods on it. Not teeny ones either. :( waaaaaaaaaa

Man, I would have been really upset when I found out I'd cut the pods off. Probably would have sit back and laughed at myself after thinking it all over though. I've made some silly mistakes myself tiG. Imagine everyone has, so don't feel bad. Next year you will probably have even better crosses on your double white.
well, I did put the whole cut tree in water (kindof ironic, could have brought the pot in:) but I'm sure they will fall off. that's my luck!!!
I would do the same thing get upset.. Don't worry.. There will be next year you can have some pods!
tiG I am so sorry that happened. I sometimes do things without thinking and being careful about what I am doing. We are all just human and some days are not as good as others. But just think ...you had a great summer and next summer will probably be even better!

tiG, if it is any consolation to U, at least u did the cutting urself instead of being vandalize like what the schitzo neighbor of mine. she pulled branches, uprooted brugs off the ground, and broke everything to pieces. i think that is far more heart breaking than ur experience. total waste after all the hardwork all spring and summer this year.
look at it on the positive note, whoever u've shared u're cuttings, am sure they will be more than glad to share back. just my two cents worth.

it is totally dibastating, but i look at it on a positive note... i've always wanted to live in a house with a big yard. i missed the house i left behind, now i have all the space i could ever dream off and the total privacy. cash has changed hands and we are set to move at the end of this month.
i did it once, i can start all over again with gusto!!!!

Oh no Ma Vie, did that crazy neighbor destroy your garden?? She must be so jealous of you! did you get cuttings so you can start over in your beautiful new yard?
Poor tiG. Hopefully it will take root for you. So far the monster white seed pod cuttings seem to be rooting as well as some others Gloria gave me although some have fallen off. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Best thing to do is take couple of slow deep breaths before you do stuff! This helps me alot!
