White Traum

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

This brug came to me from Hibiscus in spring. Orignated from LBJ, I believe .. as a mistaken Rosa Traum.
I've been just calling it White Traum for lack of a better name. It's a lovely white brug.
Anyone know what it really is?

On its own it has 2 blue/green fuzzy pods. Next to Isabella, Golfito, Insignis Pink, Super Nova,
and Creamsickle when it pollenated ..who knows! Another surprise! .. LOL

it is a pretty one, i sent mine home with floridian. i think she said it has pods on it too. no idea what it really is.

Looks like six points on it. You should take some pictures at different angles and compare to some of the other white brugs that LBJ has. It would be nice ti know it's true ID.

You know... I got cuttings from Camille recently. The fella sent cuttings with pods on them ... he said it had lots & lots. Check out the Camille pic on LBJ's site.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I sent mine home with a friend near here. I can always get a cutting back from them, but thought I probably didn't need another white. This is pretty though.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's got HUGE flowers, I cut it back to bring it in. I know, but I couldn't help it, it has my jasmine plant in the pot too!!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

are the leaves fuzzy at all?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

NOW YOU TELL ME....I threw mine(3)away!

That's pretty Alice, maybe you can work with it and get some real good color back into it.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Back again ..
Here is a side view. Blooms are large and pretty.
Believe I have a pix from summer 'wide open. I will look for.

Poppysue, I will have to check for fuzzy leaves tomorrow.

Gloria, you should not have thrown away. LOL

That's what mine look like too. I gave a cutting to Snowhermit. I got mine from Hibiscus. I'll be happy to send you a cutting back Gloria.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

This is what mine will look like??? Cool! I think it's beautiful.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I think it's my fault, lol. Brugs turn white in my hands.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Cala, It will be a welcome addition here. I don't have many whites.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

glad to see it, I was going to leave it out to freeze. now where do I put it???

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

There must be an empty corner somewhere tiG.
Remember all the places we found to put them last year.LOL

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Give it back to me, tiG. Kidding.

Thanks, Susie, may take you up on that, if you can work some good color into it.

snow, last year was nothing compared to this!! it's ridiculous here. and so many still outside that probably won't have a home! :(

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Wow, tiG, probably ALL beautiful pink?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Poppysue,
Thanks. Just back from LBJ site.
This looks like 'Camille' alot.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Really? My cuttings are just starting to root - so there isn't much for leaves on them yet. I thought the stems were sorta fuzzy but it turns out I was looking at Citronella instead.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Well it is a beauty for sure. Wonder if it is Camille? Whatever it is looks like it is a good Momma.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I'll send a Camille to someone with the "white" Traum to compare. Do you want one Alice?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi Poppysue,
Yes, I would like to compare to know sure if this is Camille.
Its leaves are NOT fuzzy, but soft dark green, no teeth.

Also, I take back what I said about 'fuzzy' pods.
They are blue green with a white farina ( powdery look).

Any extra Citronella?
