Great photo! When does this vine start blooming for you?

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

Thanks eloopj. This vine is on a neighbors grove fence and I think it started blooming around April or May. It was going to seed in late October when these pictures were taken.

Beautiful Picture!!!
I just started my seeds for this one,
I am getting stir crazy with the winter weather.
any tips for this vine? I soaked my seeds for a
day and just planted them in those peat pod things.
Keeping them covered lightly with plastice and moist.

THanks

Thanks Moda! Hopefully someone that grows from seed will come by to answer your questions. This plant grows wild around here. It sure is a pretty site along our road in the summer! We're having colder than normal temps and even though we still have some flowers I am *so* ready for Spring again!!

This vine is completely covering my back yard here it is a weed where I am. It overtook all my potted plants repeatedly!!! ARGH I will probably have tons of seed, if they've set before I sell my house since I have about a half acre of the daggum things!!! Be careful with them in florida!

LOL Katrina, that's why I admire it as I drive by!! I'm afraid I may end up with it anyway, my neighbor had some show up on one of her fences this past summer...

Mine and all my neighbors fences and yards, they are like a ground cover and then anything taller than ground level i.e. my pretty flowers!!! They climb up and strangle. We get them all over here at the nursery I work at too, and people always wanna buy em if only they knew hahah! We actually had some choke out big 30 gallon trees this past year!
