Sure looks like Butterfly. Can't miss the aurea genes, can you? I like this picture a lot. Didn't know they would have a white throat. Hope I can keep mine alive so it will bloom next year. Thanks Arlene.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

you're welcome, and many thanks to you ms brugie. this is the shortest plant i ever had bloom.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Very pretty!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

is the way it hangs off the plant, like bowlegged............... that makes it look like an aurea???
ignorant minds want to know

it is so sweet Arlene...........

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very pretty Arlene. I'm starting to like the smaller flowers.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Its a beauty Arlene. I like the smaller flowers. Nice pics!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

To me, it is the way it hangs as well as the way it looks when looking into the bloom. Compare Arlene's picture with one of Butterfly that is also an aurea and you will see the likeness. Forget the color though, just look at the shape, etc. Aureas generally have large leaves too, don't they Arlene?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Bowlegged Brugs, Kell?? LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

well Liz, picture those 2 blooms walking down the street together.......................

I see Arlene, you have an advanced case of Brugmania............ all those black grower pots all over

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

ms kell you are right, i'm trying to wean myself. i'm not an aurea expert, maybe one will come along. this is one of eric's and i guess it is all aurea, don't know. it is quite fragrant.

(Zone 6a)

Shirley, does your pink aurea have serregated leaves or smooth edged ones like in arlene's pic.?? The aurea pink that Eric sent me has serregated leaves.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Very pretty, Arlene. Nice photo, too (o:
I like this small flower one very much.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Owen, mine is small yet, but it does have one leaf that is six inches long and it is smooth. I guess even the smaller leaves are smooth too.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Owen, the stem on my plant isn't a foot tall, but the top leaf is serrated. i wouldn't change the marker yet, besides he didn't have many "normal" brugs left!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I like this one Arlene.

(Zone 6a)

OK. Thanks, guys:) Will continue to assume mine is aurea pink then:)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Very Pretty and Sweet Smelling . . that is the way I like them. Arlene . . . I bet you have those black pots filled up next spring because there is no such thing as weaning from brugs. There is always going to be something new and different!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Frannie, where do we all go when the yard and house are filled up with brugs? We better get that big piece of property bought and get organized. :-)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Hey Brugie, you have a much larger piece of property than I do. I only have 6/10th of an acre. I am so happy that I can keep most of them outside. We are going to have to temporarily close in a pavillion with plastic for the ones in pots. My greenhouse which is 12 by 18 won't come close to holding everything. We have just enough freezing nights to be a nuisance.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Oh Frannie, how I wish I had your problem. I'd be delighted to have to close off the pavillion and put the sides down on my greenhouse for just a few nights. Try closing up everything for 6 months. Drives me nuts. So, you see, my acreage wouldn't be the best place for all the brugs we want to grow.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok Brugie . . . you had better start talking to Jim about relocating!! Come on down South!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

He would if he didn't have to clean out his shop.
