Naughty FP

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

That naughty frosty pink has been at it again. I am ashamed to say that shes had 14 affairs that has led to the impending birth of thousands of poor unknowns. Ain't no tellin who the daddy is..

If i let a few of the pods ripen on the bush, will they sow themselves? I dont see myself planting 10000 seeds anytime soon.
I also have some trades ill be sending out soon, would it be feasible to cut the branch that a pod is growing on and hope that it will root and grow for the receiving person?
Thanks
Jen

I once accidentally broke off a sanguinea with a seed pod, tried to root it, and what happened is the end did callus, but it spent so much energy making callus the pod failed. FP is easier to root, I think it's worth a try. Dennis

I've rooted stems with pods. If the pod is at least half grown, I think it should make it. I've got a "naughty Isabella" here, that brug keeps pods and I never know who the "daddy" is.

Very cute MSJen

Ill let them stay on until the last possible moment and then keep my fingers crossed that they will root.
Does anyone know if the seeds will germinate if allowed to ripen and fall? Sure would be nice if they would follow the traits of ruellia, lol
